Lázaro Ramos é um ator, apresentador, cineasta e escritor de literatura infantil brasileiro, que iniciou a carreira artística no Bando de Teatro Olodum. Durante os anos de 1998 a 2002, foi âncora do Fantástico. Ganhou notoriedade ao interpretar João Francisco dos Santos no filme Madame Satã (2002). Lázaro foi indicado ao Emmy (2007) de melhor ator por sua interpretação na novela Cobras & Lagartos, como Foguinho.
Fez uma participação na peça A Bruxinha Que Era Boa, de Maria Clara Machado, 1988, quando tinha uns 12 anos num teatro itinerante que estava em Salvador, substituindo seu primo. Lázaro não tinha noção o que era atuar. Até que aos 15, decidiu ser ator. Em 1994, entrou para o Bando de Teatro Olodum, atuando na peça Bai, Bai Pelô. No cinema, fez uma figuração com o bando em Jenipapo 1995, de Monique Gardenberg, em 1998, o filme Cinderela Baiana.
Em Sabor da Paixão, em 2000, quando contracenou com Murilo Benício e Penélope Cruz, uma comédia da diretora venezuelana Fina Torres. Madame Satã foi seu primeiro filme como protagonista. Mas, antes da estreia deste filme, Lázaro já havia rodado O Homem que Copiava, em que também fazia o papel principal, o tímido desenhista e operador de fotocopiadora André. Em Cafundó, de Paulo Betti, Lázaro viveu seu terceiro protagonista, João de Camargo, um ex-escravo que vira líder religioso. Em Nina, filme de Heitor Dhalia, inspirado no clássico Crime e Castigo de Dostoiévski, fez uma rápida aparição como um pintor.
A primeira aposta de Lazaro Ramos na literatura infantil foi aos 21 anos, com o título “Paparutas”, uma referência a Ilha do Pati, em São Francisco do Conde, cidade de origem de grande parte da sua família. Segundo Lazaro, este livro é muito mais sobre a criança que ele foi e sobre autoestima. Seu segundo livro, “A Velha Sentada”, lançado em 2010, versa sobre as relações das crianças com a internet e o poder da imaginação.
Lázaro já assinou a direção de quatro peças teatrais, dois Documentários e dois Clipes, além de uma turnê musical e um longa metragem.
Com mais de 33 participações em programas nas TVs fechadas e aberta, Lázaro tem no carreira personagens em novelas, séries e apresentações de programas.
Desde 1988 Lázaro já atuou em inúmeras peças de Teatro. Sua mais recentente peça ``O topo da Montanha`` tem atraído milhares de espectadores pelo Brasil.
Em 2019 Lázaro recebeu o Troféu Oscarito, no festival de Gramando. O prêmio é dedicado a atores e atrizes que marcaram o cinema brasileiro. Em 2005 recebeu o Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro.
No Cinema Lázaro Ramos acumulou grande experiência como um dos atores mais diversos e consagrados do país sendo uma dos mais reconhecidos atores do cinema nacional.
Na Literatura escreveu 4 livros infantis e um dos mais lidos livros sobre a questão racial da atualidade chamado Na Minha Pele.

Lázaro Ramos is a Brazilian actor, presenter, filmmaker, and writer of children's literature, who began his artistic career in the Bando de Teatro Olodum. From 1998 to 2002 he was an anchorman for Fantástico. He gained notoriety playing João Francisco dos Santos in the movie "Madame Satã" (2002). Lázaro was nominated for a Best Actor Emmy (2007) for his performance in the soap opera "Cobras & Lagartos" (Snakes & Lizards), as Foguinho.
He participated in the play "A Bruxinha Que Era Boa" (The Witch Who Was Good), by Maria Clara Machado, 1988, when he was about 12 years old in an itinerant theater that was in Salvador, replacing his cousin. Lázaro had no notion what acting was. Until, at 15, he decided to be an actor. In 1994, he joined the Olodum Theater Band, acting in the play Bai, Bai Pelô. In the movies, he played a role with the band in Jenipapo 1995, by Monique Gardenberg, in 1998, the movie "Cinderela Baiana".
In "Sabor da Paixão" (Taste of Passion", in 2000, when he acted with Murilo Benício and Penélope Cruz, a comedy by Venezuelan director Fina Torres. Madame Satan was his first film as a protagonist. But before the premiere of this film, Lázaro had already shot "O Homem que Copiava" (The Man Who Copied), in which he also played the main role, the shy designer and photocopier operator André. In Cafundó, by Paulo Betti, Lázaro played his third leading role, João de Camargo, an ex-enslaved who becomes a religious leader. In "Nina", Heitor Dhalia's film, inspired by Dostoevsky's classic "Crime and Punishment", he made a quick appearance as a painter.
Lazaro Ramos' first bet in children's literature was at the age of 21, with the title "Paparutas", a reference to Pati Island, in São Francisco do Conde, city of origin of most of his family. According to Lazaro, this book is much more about the child he was and about self-esteem. His second book, "A Velha Sentada" (The Seated Old Woman), released in 2010, is about children's relationships with the internet and the power of imagination.
Lazaro has directed four plays, two documentaries and two music videos, as well as a musical tour and a feature film.
With more than 33 participations in programs in closed and open TV, Lázaro has in his career characters in soap operas, series, and program presentations.
Since 1988 Lázaro has acted in countless plays. His most recent play ``Top of the Mountain`` has attracted thousands of viewers throughout Brazil.
In 2019 Lázaro received the Oscarito Trophy at the Gramando Film Festival. The award is dedicated to actors and actresses who have made their mark in Brazilian cinema. In 2005 he received the Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro.
In Cinema Lázaro Ramos accumulated great experience as one of the most diverse and renowned actors in the country.
In Literature he wrote 4 children's books and one of the most read books about the racial issue nowadays called "Na Minha Pele" (In My Skin).
