Bio:
Antônio Queiroz was born in 1957 on the Fazenda Ladeira, now a village called Barrocas, close to Serrinha, Bahia. He worked in the fields, raising sisal.
His mother sang sambas-de-roda and work the folkloric work songs sung as people cracked corn and beans.
He built his first guitar from a wooden bowl and nylon strings, believing it to be the most marvelous instrument in God's creation.
