Bio:
I'm a dedicated musician and cultural practitioner driven by a deep-rooted love for my motherland, Sindh, and its rich heritage. Nestled on the banks of the Jamshoro River, I often find myself immersed in the echoes of the past, imagining the beautiful Indus Valley civilization that once thrived here. My lyrical storytelling merges the traditional and contemporary worlds, as I harmonize the melodies that once flowed from the mountains, lakes, and rivers of Tibet, Nepal, Ladakh, Baltistan, and into the serene landscapes of Sindh.
In 2013, I embarked on a mission to re-weave the uniting web of these ancient empires through intellect and emotion. This journey led to the creation of Lahooti, a platform where I collect melodies from every corner of Pakistan, infuse them with a global essence, and present them to the world, resonating with the rustic fragrance of our cultural heritage.
My work goes beyond music; it's about connections and conversations. With Lahooti, I gather thinkers, scholars, and artists to showcase the vibrant landscape of folk art and contemporary music. This endeavor necessitates understanding diverse cultures, languages, and regional music, while also fostering collaborations between artists from different disciplines and modes that often don't intersect.
An annual highlight is Pakistan's largest international Folk and World Music festival, Lahooti Melo, where diverse voices and traditions converge in a celebration of unity and creativity.
My journey is marked by a distinguished sense of melody, a deep knowledge of poetic traditions, and an unquenchable thirst for new flavors and details. I'm determined to build connections across the globe, nurturing an ever-flowing river of symphonies that transcends boundaries.
Professionally, I've held the position of Marketing Manager at Kawish Newspaper since 2006, and now, I'm embracing full-time opportunities involving cultural representation, research, conservation, event direction, and other creative management roles.
Let's weave a global tapestry of harmony, where cultures interlace, stories intertwine, and music unites us all.

I'm Sparrow. I built this matrix so that every creator on the planet would be conceivably findable and accessible from all others, beginning with musicians in Bahia, Brazil. The matrix combines recommendation by both artificial and human intelligence (human preferred) and the small-world phenomenon (responsible for the fact that most humans are within 6 steps of most others) in a simple but powerful manner which has never been used before.
