O Museu do Samba nasceu e está localizado no mais poético e tradicional reduto do samba carioca, o bairro de Mangueira, na Zona Norte do Rio de Janeiro.
O local oferece uma rica e variada programação cultural e educativa, com exposições fixas e sazonais, eventos musicais, gastronômicos e multimídia.
Possui ainda um Centro de Documentação e Pesquisa do Samba e o maior acervo patrimonial e audiovisual do gênero.
É lugar de memória, preservação e representatividade da cultura afro-brasileira e seu trabalho levou à titulação do samba como Patrimônio Cultural do Brasil.

The Samba Museum was born and is located in Rio's most poetic and traditional samba stronghold, the Mangueira neighborhood, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
It offers a rich and varied cultural and educational program, with fixed and seasonal exhibitions, musical, gastronomic and multimedia events.
It also has a Samba Documentation and Research Center and the largest heritage and audiovisual collection of the genre.
It is a place of memory, preservation and representation of Afro-Brazilian culture and its work led to samba being named a Cultural Heritage of Brazil.
Monday to Friday: 10am to 5pm
Saturday: 10am to 4pm
Closed: Sundays and public holidays

I'm Sparrow. I built this matrix so that every creator on the planet would be conceivably findable and accessible from all others, beginning with musicians in Bahia, Brazil.
