As part of my ethnomusicological research in Recife, Brazil in 2000-2001, I studied the forró pé-de-serra style on the sanfona de oito baixos with Arlindo dos Oito Baixos. In May 2001 I sat in and played a few tunes with his band, which includes his sons Raminho on zabumba and Adilson on bass.
