Inside Assad's Syria: Fighting the regime | Unreported World

Go to → Ramita Navai
In 2011, Unreported World reporter Ramita Navai and producer Wael Dabbous spent two weeks living in some of the most dangerous parts of Syria, with members of the opposition movement determined to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad's brutal dictatorship. They were one of the only teams to have gained access to the country which at the time had a complete ban on foreign media operating without official permission. In this award-winning film, the pair met the protesters and the victims of the bloody crackdown, and visited the hospitals set up in private homes by doctors who risked torture or death for treating the injured.
