When you hear New Orleans what is the first thing that comes to mind? Some might think of Mardi Gras, the classic festival that originated March 3, 1699. You might think about the food and variety of delicious meals that come from New Orleans like the iconic rice dish jambalaya. If you are a big sports fan the first thing you think about is the LSU Tigers or the NBA team Pelicans. But if you are a music fanatic, you think of the beautiful historic rich music that has materialized from New Orleans. The home of jazz music, New Orleans is a place with unique beautiful music and “Take me to the River: New Orleans” successfully achieves to display this. The soundtrack from the film with the same name is a melting pot of historical music. Featuring well known artists like Snoop Dogg, G Eazy, Ledisi and Aaron Neville, to local New Orleans band The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and many more talented artists and musicians, the soundtrack is almost two hours of rich songs and includes the grammy award winning song “Stomping Ground.”
