Outernational psych folk group Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek unveil a fresh and sparkly dance track from their upcoming album. "Bal" ("honey" in Turkish) is an ode to passionate love and seduction; it features a playful dialogue between bağlama (also known as Saz), guitar, synth and Derya Yıldırım's silky vocals - and builds up into an intoxicatingly climactic bağlama solo. The cheeky tone and the metaphorical use of the "honey" lexical field reveal the sexy underlying message ; hence the irresistibly light and dancey disco feel throughout the track.   Penned by Derya Yıldırım in collaboration with writer Duygu Ağal and composed collectively by the band, Bal celebrates a facet of Grup Şimşek that's rarely been singled out : free-spirited dance mood, exhilarating energy and a groovy mid-high tempo...
