Oscar Perez, Director Marcus Printup, Guest Soloist and composer The Montclair State University Jazz Ensemble will be performing with trumpeter, composer and faculty member Marcus Printup. His arrangements of songs by Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Kenny Dorham, and Wayne Shorter have been played by the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. The MSUJE will also be playing Mr Printup’s original composition, The Journey Suite, a five movement suite inspired by his call and commitment to study jazz trumpet at the university level.
