The Meters were a New Orleans funk band formed in 1965 by Zigaboo Modeliste (Drums), George Porter Jr. (Guitar), Leo Nocentelli (Bass) and Art Neville (Keyboard). The Meters are architects of funk, and many of their original songs such as “Cissy Strut” and “Look-Ka Py Py” are considered Funk Classics.
