T.G.T.T. (Too Good To Title) Written By | Duke Ellington "Every man prays in his own language, and there is no language God doesn’t understand." - Duke Ellington This piece comes from Duke Ellington's 1968, Second Sacred Concert. Ellington performed this piano/vocal duet with vocalist Alice Babs. The wordless melody conveys a feeling far beyond what any words can express. The acronym T.G.T.T. stands for "Too Good To Title" and is his way of painting a portrait of Jesus Christ. Duke carried a bible everywhere he went. His music came from a place of profound spiritual depth. God certainly spoke through him and his music. Musicians: Anthony Hervey | Trumpet Sean Mason | Piano Video and Audio: Dax Matlock
